Principal’s Message

Keeney Street School is a strong caring and diverse community devoted to the development of each child. We build upon the individual differences that children bring to their environment. Our dedicated staff, with the support of family, is committed to the belief that all students acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to reach their highest potential and become responsible, respectful, caring members of a global society.

The building seems to invite people in to discover the uniqueness that exists within its walls. Warm welcomes and smiles greet all who enter- children, parents, grandparents and visitors.

Keeney is one of the few elementary schools that has received accreditation and has full membership in the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, NEASC. Our school community maintains high standards of academic achievement and personal responsibility for our students.

A rigorous academic program with rich learning experiences is offered to all students. We accomplish this by establishing high expectations., an integrated curriculum, challenging all students to think critically and creatively.

The Parent Teacher Association sponsors a wide variety of family functions that bring school and family together in meaningful ways.
